We found $4,000 missing from our Wells Fargo account - the bank did nothing, the money had gone some

A YOUTH Foundation is doing everything it can to get back what they are calling a disappearing deposit.

The Youth Aviation Foundation has been trying to get a new generation of pilots to fly, but they have been hitting a snag the last few years.

In 2021, the Minnesota-based foundation had a fundraiser to collect money for flight simulator upgrades, local FOX affiliate FOX 9 reported.

Bryce Larson, the treasurer of the foundation said he used the Wells Fargo app to deposit two checks totaling $4,000 in May of that year.

However, in September, he realized the money was not in the account.

Larson contacted Wells Fargo and a representative told him to try to deposit the checks again.

Bank statements show the money went into the account in September but came out in October with a note saying that the deposits were made twice.

Larson did some more digging and saw that the check was deposited into a Chase bank account.

"There is no account at Chase," Larson said. "So I don't know where the money went."

Lason filed a case in small claims court, but he claims the court misunderstood the evidence, so he recently had to file an appeal.

Without the donations from the fundraiser, the foundation had to use their savings to upgrade to buy the simulators.

However, digging into their savings was not the plan.

"Now we're running out of our available funds to do normal things like, you know, get equipment for the astronomy thing or add on aircraft for this stuff," Larson said.

The US Sun previously reported on another alleged money disappearance concerning Wells Fargo.

Taylor Goodnough and Kevin Kohl are suing Wells Fargo and Truist in federal court after transferring $10,000 into a different account with a new bank, but never seeing their money.

During the transaction, the account "had been flagged as possibly fraudulent due to the large amount of money transferred as an initial deposit."

There is a 14-page court filing on the claim and the lawsuit alleges that the bank violated the Electronic Funds Transfer Acts as well as accusing them of breach of contract and unfair and deceptive trade practices.

Unfortunately, there has been no resolution to this issue for the couple, and they have yet to have their money returned to them.

The US Sun has reached out to Wells Fargo and Truist for comment.
