An Iowa family is ushering in the winter in a massive way!
The Peters family, who currently reside in Ankeny, recently built a 15-foot-tall snowman in the front yard of their home, CBS affiliate KCCI reported.
Karen Peters told the outlet that the idea for the snowy statue initially came from her son, who later enlisted the help of his friends.
Together, the group worked piece by piece, relying on an 8-foot ladder, until they had a 15-foot snowman standing in front of them — complete with a pair of eyes, a mouth, a carrot nose, a red scarf and buttons, according to the outlet.
"If my son sets his mind to do something — any of the kids — they achieve it," Peters told KCCI. "There wasn't a doubt in my mind that we wouldn't finish it."
Of course, the building process didn't come without any challenges.
"We had to work with the weather," Peters explained to the outlet. "Some days it was too cold, some the snow wouldn't stick."
Despite that, Peters said her son — who, conveniently, happens to be 6-foot-3 — and his friends refused to give up and carried on until the snowman was complete.
"They got out there on any day the weather would cooperate and they just kept adding to it," she told KCCI.

As it turns out, this wasn't the first massive snowman that Peters' son has built.
Last year, the Iowa State University student sculpted an 11-foot snowman in Ames, where his college is located, according to KCCI.
